Response to Bioethics Concerns, July 30, 2015
Allegations have surfaced that Colorado State signed a contract with Planned Parenthood to obtain fetal tissue earlier this year. This is false. The last contract the university had with Planned Parenthood was more than four years ago, signed in March 2010, for obtaining placental material for a project supporting healthy pregnancies; the contract has expired and has not been renewed. CSU has no contracts with Planned Parenthood, per the documents linked below. These documents from President Frank and the university’s Bioethics Advisory Committee fully outline the university’s position.
