The CSUnite walk and community gathering will take place today at 3 p.m., beginning at Newton’s Corner (just south of the Behavioral Sciences Building) and proceeding to the Lory Student Center Plaza. In the event of inclement weather, the walk will still take place as scheduled. If the weather becomes severe, the program portion of the event will move indoors to the Lory Student Center Ballrooms, but at this time we are planning to move forward as planned on the Plaza.

All members of the CSU community are welcome to join in the walk. The purpose in gathering is to stand up against acts of hate and discriminatory bias designed to intimidate and threaten members of our community – as well as to assert our community values and the idea that Rams Take Care of Rams. While we, as individuals and group members, may disagree on different issues, this is a time for solidarity and standing together as Rams.

Signs that are not on sticks are permissible at the event. After the program, there will be tables on the Plaza with information about how to take action against bias and hate on campus, as well as an opportunity to provide your feedback on the current campus climate and what changes you would like to see.

If you are unable to join in person, the CSUnite event will also be live on all the University’s social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat — #CSUnite.
